Job Title:                    Quality Analyst

Reports to:                  Senior Quality Analyst

Job Grade:                   Grade 06

Job Classification:       Officer

Job Purpose: Responsible for implementation of, and adherence to the required national and international standards and practices in the process of testing samples, management and control of data and results

Responsible for:          None

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Analyse allocated samples of medicines and medical supplies according to approved methods, data, and report test results
2. Write technical reports such as analytical test reports, trend analysis, validation and verification reports, qualification reports among others.
3. Implement    Quality    Management    System    processes    such    as documentation, complaint management, deviations, safety, investigation of   non-conforming   work,   change   management,   implementation   of corrective and preventive action, risk management and audits etc.
4. Carry  out  analytical  method  validation,  verification,  transfer,  and Laboratory proficiency tests
5. Participate  in   the   preparation   of   specifications   and   initiation   of procurement for glassware, chemicals & reagents, Chemical reference substances, equipment, and laboratory consumables in accordance with approved procedures
6. Responsible for accuracy of statistical tables (e.g.  excel validations), data listings and report text and contribute to the interpretation and publication of the findings
7. Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders within and outside of NMS
8. Identify any risks noted during execution of duties and formally report to the immediate supervisor.
9. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Honors Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bio-medical Laboratory Technology, or related field
• Proficiency in quality Control testing of medicines or medical devices and related products
• Good Knowledge of Good practices for Quality Control Laboratories.
• Proven understanding of the Laboratory Quality Management Systems as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 2 years working experience in a related field.
