Job Summary
Under the supervision of Program Manager, provide direct oversight to the implementation AFOD Uganda Off Grid renewable energy project in the respective districts.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Providing supervisory role to ensure smooth project implementation and integration of renewable energy with WASH, health, nutrition, food security and livelihood for socioeconomic empowerment and resilience.
· Support in monitoring and capacity development of project assistants and other project related staff for quality improvement of interventions in all districts of project implementation.
· Conduct regular technical support supervisions in all districts of project implementation followed by dissemination of situation report and Activity Progress Reports.
· Ensure good relationship and participation in health facility management and relevant district cluster coordination meetings especially WASH, Nutrition, Health etc
In collaboration with team, support in the development and delivery of annual/quarterly/monthly work/activity plans, follow up the implementation of plans and ensure timely review/adjust them to achieve committed target.
Consolidate technical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and Annual) from all project locations and disseminate in a timely manner.
· Support in the development of relevant proposals and budgets.
Ensure that the renewable energy program is integrated and implemented in line with the AFOD 2-P and ICLEM model.
Provide technical support in all aspects of the project management cycle in ensuring the integration of Renewable energy with other programs using community led model.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Minimum qualifications
Education
· Holder of degree in relevant health discipline is required and any complementary certified training in integrated renewable energy is an added advantage.
Experience
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in integrated programming and management. Further experience in leading field teams especially in humanitarian contexts will be an added advantage
· Experience in budget management.
Core Competencies
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines, juggling multiple competing tasks and prioritizing demands
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, English fluency (spoken and written).
· Advanced skills in MS Office packages
