Job Title: Senior Marine Officer
Salary scale: U3
Reports to: Principal Marine Engineer
Supervises: Marine Officer
Duty Station: Head Quarters
Terms of Appointment: Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

Main purpose:
Participate and assist in the design, development, and coordination of maintenance and repair of marine machinery and related equipment including propulsion machines and power supply systems for installation on vessels and standards.

Qualification and experience

1. Hon degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering and automotive engineering.
2. Must have a certificate for a Master or Chief Officer with Class 3 for Deck Officer on watch.
3. Must have certificates in the following: Medical care, Advanced fire fighting, Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems (GMDSS), Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR)
4. Must be proficient in survival rescue boats, fire fighting; ISPS Ship Security Officer, and Personal Survival Techniques.
5. Three (3) years of work in a marine engineering environment
6. Valid license
