Position: Customer Care Officer
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for creating and maintaining a favorable public image of the company by working with social media and advertising teams while producing PR reports to Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and carry out Customer Care and Public Relations campaigns and strategies
- Monitor the public and media’s opinion of the company and advise management on how to further strengthen company reputation.
- Write and edit press releases, leaflets brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites, annual reports and social media content.
- Develop a media relations strategy for the company, seeking high-level placements in print broadcast and online media.
- Train other employees on how to handle media enquiries and press interviews
- Develop good working relationships with the media and liaising with the press on potential news stories.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate Public Relations results to management on a quarterly basis.
- Promptly manage and update client’s social media posts
- Prepare and monitor the public relations budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds appropriately.
- Maintain a keen understanding of postal industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
- Any other duties that may be assigned to him/ her by superiors from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Social Administration, Public Relations, or Mass Communication
- Relevant Post-Graduate qualification shall be an added advantage
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
At least four (04) years’ relevant experience, with two (02) years’ hands-on experience in Customer care, mass engagement or public relations from a reputable organization
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Proven track record in designing and executing successful public relations at both local and national level
- Experience in acting as company spokesperson and skilled in both broadcast and print media.
- Willingness and ability to learn about the Postal business trends and innovations
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Be able to keep company information confidential
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Be in a position to remain calm in stressful situations
