Developer at Makerere University Joint AIDS Program (MJAP)

Makerere University Joint AIDS Program (MJAP) is a private-not-for profit Company under Makerere University. MJAP works to build partnerships and strengthen health systems to optimally respond to HIV/AIDS, TB, Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and other diseases of public health importance in Africa.

MJAP in partnership with the National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (NTRL) is implementing the Strengthening of use of Connectivity Solutions for TB Diagnostic Instrument Networks in Uganda. In that regard, we are looking for competent, passionate and dynamic individuals to fill the following positions:

Role Title: Developer

Reports to: Software Developer

Duty Station: National TB Reference Laboratory, Kampala

Role Definition: Support the National Tuberculosis Referral Laboratories (NTRL) Team to develop and implement a digital X-ray module to enable integration of the CAD software with Labxpert.

Qualifications & key competencies:

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or comparable certifications/qualifications
 Extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SUN Accounting and Access
 High level of Accuracy
 Good interpersonal skills, analytical skills, communication skills and organizational skills
 A high level of integrity
 Organized with good time management and the ability to multitask
 Able to work on own initiative
 Ability to meet deadline of financial timelines
