TB Contact Tracing Officer job at Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation

JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
Planning, coordination and implementation of Global Fund/TASO HIV-TB project activities in the supported districts. They will work closely with facility Health workers to carry out contact tracing for TB confirmed cases and ensure that TB preventive therapy (TPT) is provided to those that are eligible as spelt out in the Operational guidelines for TB contact investigation. They will ensure that all data related to contact tracing and TPT is correctly collected and entered into national database.

Overall Responsibilities
1. Support Health workers to be able to carry out contact tracing to all patients diagnosed with TB.
2. Ensure complete documentation of all contact tracing activities carried out.

3. Ensure that all those diagnosed with TB during contact tracing are started on TB treatment.

4. Collating program monitoring and evaluation reports on quarterly, and annual basis for the TB contact tracing and TPT provision.
5. Work with project officers in the Comprehensive districts to ensure that activities related to TB contact tracing and TPT provision are implemented as expected.

6. Take lead in planning, coordination and implementation of Global Fund/ TASO HIV-TB project activities in the cluster districts.

7. Provide TB/HIV technical assistance during implementation of the Global Fund/ TASO funded activities through planning, mobilizing and on-site implementation of activities based on the project’s technical approach and national guidelines.
8. Work closely with the regional M&E Officer and regional Cluster Coordinator to update and maintain the Global Fund-TASO activity tracker regularly.

9. Establish collaborations and strength partner coordination with key stakeholders including comprehensive partners, civil society, and district and community structures for effective and efficient implementation of the Global Fund / TASO project funded activities.

10. Strengthen referral and linkages between community service delivery points and health facilities for AGYW HIV, SRH, GBV services and patients diagnosed with Tuberculosis.
11. Establish District Technical Working Groups (TWGs) and Community Quality Improvement teams to support implementation of AGYW risk reduction plans in identified communities.
12. Develop timely activity trip plans, budgets and implementation plans on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
13. Represent the project in Districts meetings including extended DHT meetings, comprehensive partners’ meetings when invited and district technical working group activities where Baylor is required to participate.
14. Document project success stories, case studies and blogs for sharing with a wider audience.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• · Bachelor’s Degree in health-related discipline.
· At least two years’ work experience implementing TB/HIV, AGYW or DREAMS Initiative is an added advantage
• 2 Years Relevant Experience
