JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview
Kampala Hospital Limited seeks a skilled and results-oriented Laboratory Technician to provide high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC):
o Perform QA/QC procedures, including internal QC and proficiency testing (PT) for all test methods as outlined in SOPs.
2. Safety Compliance:
o Implement safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment aligned with international laboratory standards.
3. Specimen Management:
o Conduct specimen collection, documentation, accessioning, and examination according to ISO 15189 standards.
4. Equipment Maintenance:
o Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and monitor its functionality.
5. Inventory Management:
o Forecast reagent and supply needs for various sections and manage inventory requests.
6. Result Reporting:
o Review, report, and release laboratory results accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year.
• Certification: Valid Allied Health Extract or APL.

• Advantageous Knowledge: Training or knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) standards like ISO 15189.
