IT Support Officer job at African Labour Solutions

JOB DETAILS:
General Purpose
Our client is looking to hire an IT Support Officer to be responsible for providing technical assistance to employees and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure.

Location: Uganda – Lubowa Area
Salary: Ksh. 70,000 (net)

Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide first-line support for employees regarding hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, including network issues, application errors, and hardware malfunctions.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and software.
• Monitor and maintain the health of IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network equipment.

• Provide training to staff on new software, tools, and IT procedures.
• Help employees with troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT systems meet business needs.

• Provide feedback and recommendations on improving IT systems and infrastructure.

Requirements & Qualifications
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, network setup, and software installations.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Experience with common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, etc.)
• Candidates who are willing to work in Uganda are preferred.
