Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Purpose
•The Head of Enterprise Risk Management is charged with establishing appropriate Enterprise Risk Management framework including risk policies, metrics, reporting and monitoring and ensure alignment of Risk Management with Corporate Strategy by providing direction for the
allocation of resources for Risk Management.
•Facilitate the execution of Enterprise Risk Management Framework by supporting Senior Management and the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) in ensuring that risks are mitigated to the desired level.
•Assist the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) and Senior Management in balancing the organization’s risk taking ability with its approved Risk Appetite to protect as well as enhance Corporate Value.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• A master’s degree in any business-related field and Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in banking, 5 years of which must have been at Senior management level in Internal Controls, Audit or Risk Management preferably in a Financial/Banking sector.
• Previous experience reporting to Boards or Senior Management Committees.
• Ability to quickly understand the various functional / departmental requirements.
• Skilled in analysis and review of reports and making presentations to Senior Management.
• Knowledge of current trends & practices in business and management
