The Role
Women Deliver seeks a strategic senior leader to serve as Director, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization, responsible for building long-term partnerships with diverse donors, institutional funders, and philanthropic allies. This role focuses on securing resources to advance the mission of gender equality and SRHR for all, while reshaping funding landscapes to be inclusive, equitable, and just.
The Director will:
• Lead the organization’s strategy to mobilize resources, partnerships, and influence.
• Serve as an external ambassador and thought leader.
• Manage a robust and sustainable funding base.
• Report directly to the President & CEO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Resource Mobilization and Donor Engagement
o Build and execute inclusive engagement strategies with a range of funders, including foundations, feminist funds, corporations, and governments.
o Align donor interests with Women Deliver’s mission.
o Develop compelling narratives highlighting systemic and sustainable change through investments.
o Curate sponsorship programs for Women Deliver’s conferences.
2. Advocacy and Thought Leadership
o Represent Women Deliver as a thought leader advocating for equitable funding practices.
o Engage in critical discussions on decolonizing philanthropy.
o Strengthen strategic alliances with donors and advocates.
3. High-Impact Stewardship and Reporting
o Create impact-oriented stewardship processes showcasing donor contributions.
o Develop tailored donor communications aligned with Women Deliver’s mission.
4. Collaboration with Executive Office and Cross-functional Teams
o Work closely with the President & CEO and other executives to align resource mobilization strategies with organizational priorities.
o Support inclusive initiatives across Women Deliver’s workstreams.
