JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To strengthen the internal Quality and Food Safety systems and ensure customer and other relevant interested parties are satisfied.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Key responsibilities of a QA officer include but are not limited to the following:
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager & QA supervisor in provision of leadership and strategy in line with company strategic objectives.
• In collaboration with stakeholders, draft and approve integrated management system policies and procedures under QA supervisor
• Help QA supervisor in Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards
• Evaluate adequacy of quality and food safety standards under QA supervisor supervision
• Implementation of integrated management system by covering QMS and FSMS standards
• Plan, Develop and execution of internal training program for the department in collaboration with QA supervisor
• Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor to review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues
• Assist QA supervisor to collect and compile statistical quality data; analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance system
• Assist QA supervisor to prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality assurance activities
• Support on-site audits conducted by external/third party auditors, evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Assist QA supervisor/HSE officer to ensure compliance with occupational health safety and environment regulatory requirements
• Assist QA supervisor for managing and maintaining data bases and documents for all management systems, including quality and food safety management systems
• Report the status of the quality levels of staff, systems and production activities.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical, bio-chemical, biotechnology, science technology-biology or chemistry or any relevant field for a food industry.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a food industry. Well versed in ISO implementation.
