JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
Install, configure, maintain and optimize performance of systems. Role is also responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems. In addition, role analyses system logs and identifies potential issues; applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes and is responsible for performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems in accordance with ICT policy.
Key Result Areas
• Ensure security for IT systems by implementing security policies and procedures in accordance to the ICT policies and guidelines.
• Administer the Storage Area Network (SAN) backups, snapshots and their corresponding restoration and coordinate contingency plan tests on a regular basis.
• Apply Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
