Senior Officer Information Services job at Uganda Communications Commission (UCC)

JOB DETAILS:
To manage the Commission’s records management program and to ensure professional records management practices are applied to effectively meet the organisation’s records information needs.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement efficient retrieval tools for information management in the registry and records centre.
2. Maintain and update the UCC file classification scheme, and file diary, and create new files as per organisational business activities.

3. Coordinate with courier service providers to ensure timely delivery of incoming and outgoing items.

4. Maintain records with permanent enduring value in the records centre.
5. Coordinate the digitisation of commission records with permanent enduring value in the records centre.
6. Conduct onboarding sessions for staff on registry procedures and the Electronic Records and Document Management System (ERDMS).
