Job purpose
To provide technical support in budget formulation, execution and accountability to ensure sound management of financial resources.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate preparation of Work plans, budget process, consolidation
- and facilitate budget execution.
- Supervise timely preparation of routine and periodic financial statements and reports, review and approve correctness of the statements.
- Verify and approve micro procurement requisitions and advice Accounting Officer on transactions of higher thresholds.
- Review responses and advice on oversight issues, including audit queries relating to financial management and accountability.
- Supervise accounts operations, monitor and evaluate staff performance.
- To ensure up-to-date books of accounts, financial records and, assets register are properly maintained.
