Job Summary
The Project Officer – Livelihoods will be responsible for implementing sector-specific activities aimed at improving family-based enterprises and income levels for beneficiaries. The role emphasizes environmentally friendly business initiatives and financial inclusion to empower target groups. The officer will conduct needs assessments, support capacity building, and oversee the management of income-generating activities in alignment with project goals and budget provisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation:
• Conduct business needs assessments to identify suitable livelihood interventions for target beneficiaries.
• Facilitate the establishment and strengthening of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) to promote financial inclusion.
• Support business development among beneficiaries by providing training on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and income-generating activities (IGA).
• Liaise with Local Government specialists to deliver capacity-building initiatives focused on livelihoods and economic empowerment.
