Key Responsibilities:
Project Officer – Agriculture and Environment will be responsible for guiding implementation of climate smart agriculture and sustainable environment management interventions. Ensures technical oversight mainly focusing upon farmer group capacity development, prepares work plans and activities’ budgets, guidelines and internal reporting. He/she will proactively promote farmer skills development, production, processing and marketing issues in collaboration with civil society organizations, development actors, private sector and participating communities. Job holder will responsible for ensuring quality and effective implementation of committed project models by ensuring trainings, standard tools and approaches are understood by volunteers and participating communities. S/He will work closely with the District technical personnel (Forest Officers, Natural Resources Officer, Agriculture Officer, Environment Officers, Community Development Officers) and other actors in actively training communities, community based facilitators and coaching project assistants for greater impact.
