Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Project Officer WASH, the Project Assistant is responsible for planning, initiating and implementing appropriate hygiene promotion interventions in Palorinya Refugee Settlement in Obongi Sub Program.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Project Implementation
• Work with the Project Officer to initiate and coordinate the planning and implementation of hygiene and sanitation activities in and around the settlement
• Train/sensitize refugees and host communities on hygiene and sanitation promotion behaviours
• Conduct on-site mobilization, sensitization and training on appropriate hygiene and sanitation practices and techniques
• Participate in communicable diseases surveillance and management of environmental health activities
• Together with local community structures, identify beneficiaries to be supported with WASH items
