General Summary
Terms of Reference The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is a Ugandan not-for-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen health systems in Africa, with strong emphasis on infectious diseases, through research and capacity development. IDI has six operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research, Laboratory services (including the CAP-certified IDI Core Lab & Translational Lab), Global Health Security and Health System Strengthening. IDI in partnership with Epicenter, France and Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) obtained funds from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) to develop capacity of the Research Ethics Committees (RECs), researchers, clinical trial monitors, administrators from RECs, and National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) in emerging and complex study designs, clinical trial monitoring and, Personal Effectiveness and Leadership skills across the six East African Countries;-Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, and…
