Job Overview
The Orthopedic officer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality and efficient Orthopedic services to clients at the settlement and district, ensuring that high standards are adhered to in assessments, handling of emergencies, treatment and administration of medicines according to the Uganda Ministry of Health guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Diagnose, manage, and provide health education for orthopedic clients, ensuring appropriate referrals as needed.
• Conduct necessary nursing procedures in collaboration with the nursing department.
• Provide regular feedback to medical officers on the status and progress of orthopedic patients.
• Participate in community sensitization activities to raise awareness about available orthopedic services.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives such as integrated outreaches, community dialogues, and awareness campaigns.
