Mission and objectives
The Resident Coordinator’s Office supports the work of the UN Resident Coordinator and coordinates activities of the UN Country Team in its engagement with the Government as defined by the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF).
Context
The UN General Assembly Resolution 72/279 on the repositioning of the UN Development System, positions the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) as the
single most important UN country programming instrument in support of the 2030 Agenda. The UN system in Uganda is in its fourth year of implementing its first UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) as described in UN General Assembly Resolution 72/279. The five-year framework from 2021 – 25 is aligned to the Third National Development Plan (NDP III) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
