Introduction and background:
The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA), launched in 2011, is a broad alliance of civil society actors who are part of the struggle for food sovereignty and agroecology in Africa. These actors include African food producer networks, African CSO networks, indigenous people’s organizations, faith-based organizations, women and youth groups, consumer movements, and international organizations that support the stance of AFSA. It is a network of networks, currently with 40 active members in 50 African countries.
The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Food Systems Coordinator to oversee and coordinate various projects aimed at transforming African food systems towards sustainability.
