JOB DETAILS:
Position: Database and Applications Administrator
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Department: Finance
Job Summary: To guide on matters relating to Financial Accounting, Analysis & Reporting on the Bank’s performance, internal financial and Operating controls, statutory and regulatory reporting, taxation and Insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• To control and direct the financial accounting functions of the Bank ensuring reports generated are in accordance with International Accounting Standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Plan and manage the bank’s taxation affairs are planned and managed to optimize the bank’s position.
• Monitor the bank’s operating base costs and highlight factors impacting effective cost management, thus contributing towards the achievement of a low-cost business environment.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with auditors, tax authorities, tax advisors and insurers.
