JOB DETAILS:
Field Certification (Organic & Fairtrade) Consultant
Academic requirements: Advanced degree in Agriculture or related
Experience: At least 3 years’ in a related role
Period: 6 months
Area of Affectation: As per job requirements
Start date: March 18th 2024
Job requirements:
1. Demonstrated knowledge with Organic and Fairtrade certification and associated requirements
2. At least 2 years’ experience in supporting producers and processors to obtain & maintain Organic and Fairtrade certification
3. Reviewing the company’s Internal Control System (ICS) manual and making actionable recommendations
4. Supporting the team to prepare for the annual certification audit
5. Conducting random spot checks of registered farmers to assess compliance to organic farming principles and practices
6. Conducting staff trainings on Organic & Fairtrade certification standards and principles
7. Reviewing all documentation before it is submitted to external certification bodies
