Job Overview:
The Assistant Chef will support the Chef and kitchen team in preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals that meet customer specifications. This role involves assisting with menu planning, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Duties:
• Assist in preparing and cooking meals under the guidance of the Chef and kitchen team.
• Ensure timely service of high-quality food.
• Help maintain the freshness, cleanliness, and quality of ingredients.
• Assist in planning menus, estimating food requirements, and monitoring supplies.
• Aid in maintaining inventory and cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Promote good housekeeping practices and enforce sanitation regulations.
• Supervise and guide kitchen helpers to maintain standards.
• Implement and adhere to Food Safety Management systems, including HACCP.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef or supervisor.
