Reports to: Vice Chancellor
1. Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of the Internal Auditor is to provide an independent assessment of the University’s
activities and to ensure that the University operates effectively and efficiently.
2. Qualifications and Experience:
1. A Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or any other relevant field preferably an Auditing option from a recognized university or institution of higher learning.
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or any other relevant degree (Accounting/Auditing option) from a recognized university or institution of higher learning.
3. A Certified Public Accountant with full CPA or ACCA or CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
4. At least ten (10) years of proven working experience in auditing in a reputable institution. (experience in an institution of higher learning will be an added advantage).
