JOB DETAILS:
The English News Anchor/Reporter (Male/Female) will interpret and communicate news and public affairs in the most in-depth and insightful manner. Link the audience with news makers so as to gain and increase credibility of the station and widen its viewership base with emphasis on driving audiences to NMG social media platforms.
Reports to: National News Editor
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Take instructions and briefs from the National News Editor and Duty Editors on stories to be covered.
• Analyses and broadcasts news received from various sources.
• Present news on air in an eloquent, clear and concise manner.
• Ensure that your conduct does not put the organization in dispute.
• Telecasting live bulletins and giving interviews from remote locations.
• Prepare for breaking news developments.
• Investigate breaking news developments. such as unique phenomena, disasters. crimes or stories of human interest.
