JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
Execute arrears management guidelines and policies to enhance recovery of tax arrears and improve tax compliance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Carry out enforcement operations against non-compliant taxpayers to recover tax arrears.
a) Receive case files received and ensure they conform to arrears management guidelines.
b)Conduct arrears reconciliation in collaboration with other functional business areas
c)Prepare correspondences to taxpayers e.g. Demand notices and responses to their letters.
d)Prepare the recovery instruments proposed and submit them to the line supervisor for review.
e)Conduct engagements with the taxpayers on possibilities of amicable settlement before instituting enforced recovery measures.
