JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
Implement strategies for managing internal and external communications to enhance information flow and media relations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develop and execute URA’s communication and public relations strategies, including media relations, and public awareness campaigns to promote tax compliance and enhance the organization’s image.
a)Develop and implement URA’s communication and public relations strategies, aligning all activities with the organization’s mission to mobilize revenue for national development.
b) Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders to ensure accurate and favorable coverage of URA’s activities
c) Execute targeted media campaigns to raise public awareness about tax policies, compliance requirements, and URA’s services, ensuring the organization’s key messages reach the intended audiences
d) Organize press briefings, media coverage, interviews, and public events to effectively communicate URA’s initiatives and achievements.
e) Support the development and implementation of crisis communication plans to manage public relations issues and protect URA’s reputation.
