JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
To offer tax administration services and conduct compliance management activities aimed at improving voluntary taxpayer compliance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Provide satisfactory client service and enhance voluntary compliance
a) Onboard and monitor taxpayers across the compliance cycle
b)Validate taxpayer declarations and monitor on-time filing and payments
c)Verify Taxpayer Refund claims
d)Carry out tax field inspections and enforcement activities
e)Conduct compliance audits
f)Promote voluntary tax compliance, provide client support and enhance stakeholder engagement
g)Prepare periodical reports as required under department guidelines
h)Enhance business processes and support system improvements
i)Review policy needs and generate policy proposals to enhance voluntary taxpayer compliance
2. Assess taxes payable and advise the clients on the payment process to enable collection
a)Vet documents to ascertain accuracy in the declarations made to determine tax payable
