JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
To offer tax administration services aimed at improving voluntary taxpayer compliance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Provide satisfactory client service and enhance voluntary compliance
a) Onboard and monitor taxpayers across the compliance cycle
b)Validate taxpayer declarations and monitor on-time filing and payments
c)Verify Taxpayer Refund claims
d)Carry out tax field inspections and enforcement activities
e)Conduct compliance audits
f)Promote voluntary tax compliance, provide client support and enhance stakeholder engagement
g)Prepare periodical reports as required under department guidelines
h)Enhance business processes and support system improvements
i)Review policy needs and generate policy proposals to enhance voluntary taxpayer compliance
2.Improve voluntary compliance
a) Monitor economic activity in the field to foster Voluntary compliance in registration, declarations and payments.
b)Implement initiatives identified in the compliance improvement plan.
c)Maintain the accuracy of the Taxpayer ledgers
d)Monitor and manage taxpayers’ arrears portfolio
e)Implement Digital Tracking Solution (DTS) and monitor taxpayer compliance.
