Welder Intern job at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose:
Perform autonomously, specific complex/advanced installation, maintenance works, and repairs depending on the technician’s specialization (requiring special qualification/training), according to supervisor’s instructions and MSF standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper functioning and maintenance of MSF equipment, installations, and infrastructures.

Main accountabilities include, but not limited to:
• Performing autonomously all necessary complex/advanced installations, maintenance, and repairs (i.e. requiring special qualifications/training), according to the supervisor’s instructions and executing any needed tests after any repair or maintenance work.
• Help the Workshop Support Administration team to improve the transit system of our expertise.

• Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance work needed in MSF facilities, premises, and equipment, and assisting logistics teams with any related tasks.

• Managing tools and equipment used for maintenance.

Education:
Final year in Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, seeking industrial attachment. (Evidence of school’s transcripts in the last academic year).
Language:
• English + Local language (Luganda, etc.).
Competencies:
• Good teamwork ability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility and proactive attitude.
