Job Description

The USAID Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of USAIDfunded projects. This role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with USAID regulations, managing relationships with stakeholders, and providing administrative and logistical support to the project team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of USAID’s operational and compliance requirements. Roles and responsibilities   Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project work plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and documentation.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure project activities comply with USAID regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of required reports, including quarterly and annual performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including USAID officials, local partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions with stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation required by USAID.  Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Administrative and Logistical Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Coordinate logistics for project activities, including travel arrangements, event planning, and procurement of goods and services.
  • Manage project office operations, including maintaining office supplies and equipment.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Collect, analyze, and manage project data to inform decision-making and improve project outcomes.
  • Maintain project databases and ensure data accuracy and security.
  • Support the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans.

Capacity Building:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of training programs for project staff and partners.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local partners to strengthen their capacity to implement project activities.

Required Experience

  • Fluent English
  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, project management, public administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably with

USAID-funded projects or other international development organizations

  • Knowledge of MS Office and email usage
  • Good communication skills via email, phone, and report writing  Willingness to live and work in rural area for extended periods
