Temporary Sales Executive job at Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI)

JOB DETAILS:
Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a Microfinance Deposit-taking Institution regulated and supervised by Bank of Uganda (BoU) under the MDI Act, 2003 and MDI Regulations, 2004 and a purpose to transform lives responsibly. Pride offers innovative financial solutions to people at the base of the economic pyramid and serves its customers through 42 networked branches and 5 contact offices. Pride is an equal opportunity employer looking for competent and experienced individuals to fill the vacancy of Sales Executive based at Central and Upcountry Branches. This is a temporary position for an initial period of twelve (12) months and is commission based.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
1. Achieve and maintain the following monthly targets while on probation and after confirmation:
o Mobilize 5 funded accounts with a minimum balance of Ugx. 20,000/= per account per day.
o Mobilize 20 loans per month with an average loan size of 1,000,000 Ugx.
o Lead the sales team with the support of the Banking Operations Manager under the oversight of the Branch Manager.
o Maintain close contact with customers and obtain market intelligence on the trend in customer wants and needs.
o Follow up and ensure that 90% of the accounts mobilized/opened are enrolled onto Pride digital platforms.
2. Prospecting new clients and cross-selling products to existing clients in the assigned branch operating area.

3. Organizing and participating in promotional activities/events.
4. Sell new products and maintain quality customer service by taking part in launches, pilot testing, and various VSP activities such as pitch camps, barazas, bazaars, business forums, trade shows, etc.
5. Stock-taking of assets and maintenance of an accurate fixed asset register.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

o Or in any other relevant/related field.
• 2 Principal passes at A ‘Level.
• Should possess at least a pass in Mathematics and English at O’level.

Person Specifications:
• Should be energetic with a high degree of innovativeness, creativity, and ambition.
• Should have a high degree of integrity, excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Should be fluent in the commonly used local languages in the different regions.
• Must be able to meet set deadlines.
• He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.
