Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill the position of Project Field Officer – Business and Human Rights based in our project offices in Hoima, Kampala, Jinja and Fort Portal.

The Project Field Officer will coordinate and follow up Business and Human rights field activities in their respective locations i.e. Hoima, Kampala, Jinja and Fort Portal

Job description
Joining Enabel as a Project Field Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Business and Human Rights Expert and you will perform the following key tasks;
• You identify, prioritise and monitor Business and Human Rights project activities to ensure a participatory, adapted and consistent choice of activities and their realisation within the set execution deadline.

• Facilitate communication and close collaboration between various actors/stakeholders concerned at the local/community level (such as populations/organisations of beneficiaries, technical services, local administrations, and providers).

• Participate in technical meetings, provisional technical and final acceptance of the commitments.

Your profile
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration or any other related Humanities.
• Min. 5 years of experience implementing activities for a development project/programme.

• Proven experience in Business and Human Rights initiatives
• Prior experience in related sectors, including digital rights, child labour, land-based investments, and labour rights.
• Experience in working with government departments, community work, and the private sector is an important asset
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.
• Motorbike licence is an asset
