POST:  PROCUREMENT OFFICER

AGE: 25 – 35 YEARS

DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 05 MONTHS (RENEWABLE)

SALARY SCALE: PROJECT SCALE

REPORT TO: COMMISSIONER FOR REFUGEES

LOCATION: KAMPALA

NUMBER OF POSTS: 01

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an honours Degree in Procurement and Supply chain Management or Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from a recognised University.  A CIPS qualification shall be added advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Three years working experience is a pre-requisite for this position.

DUTIES

• Manage procurements of all goods and services for the Department of Refugees
• Raise, place and follow up purchase orders with suppliers in accordance with UNHCR and PPDA guidelines.
• Liaise with the user Sections in the development and management of contracts
• Prepare and issue approved contract documents
• Secretary of the DoR Contracts Committee.
• Prepare and manage DoR procurement plan
• Responsible for the DoR procurement records and archives
• Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
