Midwife job at STOB Hospital

JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE: Provide midwifery services during pregnancy, labour and postpartum periods in line with health protocols, universal hygienic and newborn caring standards. Engages in activities that promote MCH, family planning and proper nutrition.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Possess a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from an accredited institution

• Must be registered with Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
• Valid practicing license is required
• 2 years of midwifery experience is required

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Knowledge of professional midwifery principles, procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of medical and non-medical waste disposal procedures
• Knowledge of hygiene management and IPC protocol SKILLS
• Skilled in applying professional midwifery care principles and procedures in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A good command of both written and spoken English and spoken Luganda.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to professional code of conduct.
• Ability to treat all patients and staff with respect, without prejudice Ability to provide high quality, ethical, compassionate care that places the needs of the patient.

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Associate Degree
