Medical Records Officer
Key, Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that documents are accurately filled, completed and verified
Collect patients’ demographic data for easy indentification and contact in cases of emergency and correspondence.
Arrange patients’ files in an orderly manner for easy retrieval.
keep patients’ files safe.
work with senior medical personnel, clinicians and other team memebrs in getting complete information of patients’ health records and seek out for other information that may not be available in patients’ records.
Capture information in patients’ files into the hospital’s electronic datbase as backup for retrieval.
Ensure patients’ privacy.
Honors Bachelor’s degree in Records and Archives Management or an honors Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Sciences from a recognised Institution.
