PAU/HR&A/091/300: MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES (1 VACANCY)

13.1 JOB SUMMARY

The  Human  Resources Manager  will  be  responsible for  leading  the  strategic function of Human Resource Management,   maintaining and enhancing the Authority’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human  resources  policies,  programs,  and  practices.  They  will also initiate and implement the strategic direction and growth of human resources, including  human  resource    development,    with    the    major    objective    of achieving  excellent  staff performance as well as organizational performance.

13.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. a) Contribute to the overall development of the Human Resources Strategy and provide strategic support for its implementation to ensure the availability of adequate human resources for the organization to perform its operations.
  2. b) Manage key  Human  Resource  stakeholders  and  ensure  the  Authority participates in Comparator studies that will position it as the Employer of Choice
  3. c) Coordinate staff orientation, induction and development processes for new staff and oversee an effective performance management system for all newly recruited
  4. d) Guide implementation of the staff Code of Conduct in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  5. e) Enable the training and further career development of the employees focusing on the task of people management including but not limited to recruitment of staff, managing performance   of   staff   through   regular   performance   appraisal processes, ensuring staff remuneration and
  6. f) Ensure the  development  and  review  of  Human  Resource  policies  and procedures in the Authority as well as lead the process of Human Resource Budget and Manpower
  7. g) Retain knowledge  of  trends,  best  practices,  regulatory  changes,  and  new technologies in human resource, talent management, employment laws and apply this to communicate changes in policy and
  8. h) Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time

13.3 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

13.3.1 Basic Qualifications

  1. a) An Honor’s Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Humanities, Law from a recognized
  2. b) A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management; or Business Administration with a bias in Human Resources Management from a recognized University

13.3.2 Working Experience

A minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant work experience in a reputable organization, three (3) of which should have been served at middle management/ supervisory level.

13.3.3 Character and Competencies
