Job Purpose

Design and develop architectural drawings

Key, Duties and Responsibilities

1. Produce and process drawings for new works;
2. Study working drawings and plans and advise the supervisor accordingly;
3. Supervise and monitor projects;
4. Prepare information regarding design, structural specifications, materials, colour, equipment, estimated cost and construction time;
5. Consult with the client to determine functional and spatial requirement of structure;
6. Direct activities for workers preparing drawing and specification documents;
7. Prepare lay out of projects;
8. Prepare contract documents for building contractor;
9. Integrate engineering elements into unified design;
10. Conduct periodic onsite observation of work during construction to monitor compliance;
11. Administer construction contracts;
12. Prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies and reports;
13. Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

1. Honour’s Bachelor’s degree in Architecture;
2. Must be a registered Architect with a valid practicing license from a professional body.
