JOB DESCRIPTION
Overall purpose of the job.
Designs, plans, and implements KSL Employee Relations programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for day-to-day HR operations, planning, organizing, and directing the function’s activities and supervising the staff of the Employee Relations and Service Delivery Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Services Delivery
• Resolving employees’ issues and handling complaints to protect the general interests.
• Development and ensure healthy work relationships and a supportive atmosphere at the workplace
• Provision of advice for department managers on how to deal with employees, most of all in extraordinary situations
• Research on labor laws, healthcare regulations, best practices etc.
• Participates in Union negotiations between the organization and employees
• Analyses information and data necessary to define and discern cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes.
• Explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
• Maintains good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote satisfaction.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the human resource department.
• Ensures that department milestones, and goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• • Ensure efficient coordination of HR services to meet department objectives • Offer professional HR services advice to the organization, department, and staff.
• Keep abreast of development in the human resource field, and learn new systems, methods, and processes.
• Evaluate and check people operations work accuracy and quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
Education:
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial RelationsPsychology, Business or any other related field. appropriate people management qualification such as CIPD certification, SHRM, and a member of HRMAU.
Experience, Skills, and Competences:
JOB DESCRIPTION
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in an HR position, demonstrates a strong understanding and experience working with multiple human resource disciplines, for example, employee relations, and state employment laws.
• Communication Skills: The position demands constant interactions, and excellent communication skills in order to pass down instructions.
• Ms Office: A candidate for this position must be proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint,
• Analytical Skills: A candidate for this position must be capable of gathering and interpreting raw information and data, documenting findings, and drawing appropriate recommendations.
• Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must be a helpful, calm and professional individual, have strong time management skills.
• People Skills: individual who is able to gunner the trust and respect of departmental heads and management.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
