3 Senior Internal Auditors job at Makerere University

Job Purpose

Assist the Principal Internal Auditor to coordinate planning of audit programmes, develop and review working papers.

Key, Duties and Responsibilities

1. Evaluate internal controls to assess level of audit risks and the appropriateness of risk management policies and procedures;
2. Participate in preparation of audit plan;
3. Monitor execution of audit programmes including routine financial audit, performance audit, IT Audit and other special audits;
4. Review work papers and documentation;
5. Follow up recommendations from previous audits;
6. Draft audit findings and conclusions;
7. Compile audit findings for discussion with management;
8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required Qualifications

EITHER:

Honors Bachelors degree in Accounting or Auditing from a recognized University plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management or Business Administration or Auditing from a recognized Institution.

OR:

Full Professional qualifications in Accounting or Auditing from a recognized Institution plus a minimum of Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management or Auditing from a recognized Institution.

Experience

At least 3 years working experience at the level of Internal Auditor in a public or reputable Organization.
