Drivers – African Mushroom Growers Uganda Limited

African Mushroom Growers Uganda Limited is the leading mushroom producer in Uganda located in Makindye, Kampala. We produce Mushrooms and add value to them by producing other products such as Wines, Powders, Jelly’s, among others.

We are currently implementing THE YOUNG AFRICA WORKS PROJECT, “BOOSTING MUSHROOM PRODUCTION AND MARKET FOR ITS PRODUCTS TO CREATE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT” in partnership with Private Sector Foundation Uganda. The project is funded by MasterCard Foundation and is targeting to empower 3,000 youths in the districts of Kampala and Wakiso in the mushroom growing industry.

We are hiring Drive(s) to help carry out the following responsibilities during the implementation of the project.

Driver Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
• Delivering packages to customers in a timely manner.
• Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
• Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
• Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
• Working at night and on weekends.
• Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
• Updating monthly mileage records.
• Driving a variety of vehicles, including motorbikes, cars and trucks.

Driver Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• 1 to 3 years driving experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the operating area.
• Physical strength and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal communication.
• Proficiency using GPS devices.
