Electrical Engineer job at Quality Plastics (U) LTD

Overview:
Quality Plastics (U) LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will manage a team of technicians, oversee the maintenance, repair, and development of electrical systems, and ensure all tasks are executed efficiently and to the highest standard. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in hydraulics and exceptional management skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to electrical and electronic systems, including PLC, APC, DCS, SCADA, and other specific control processes in manufacturing.
2. Design and modify motor power control apparatus circuits.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
4. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and machine operators to integrate electronic and electrical systems into overall product designs.
5. Lead and supervise a team of electronic technicians, providing guidance and support.
6. Design and test electronic circuits and systems to ensure compliance with customer specifications, product requirements, and industry standards.
7. Test solid-state circuitry to determine defective components in analog and digital equipment and replace defective parts.
8. Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
9. Conduct technical training for team members to keep their skills updated.
10. Ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
11. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

12. Conduct performance evaluations, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members.
13. Prepare reports on departmental performance, including project updates and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications
1. Master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience in hydraulics, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric hydraulic systems.
4. Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting tools.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
