Role:
Oversee and provide strategic technical leadership for the design and delivery of solutions that meet the Bank’s business needs
Key Result Areas:
- Develop technology that drives process innovation and automation strategy to ensure competitive positioning of the company (i.e. RPA, AI, machine learning)
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements through innovation to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and/or improve the end-user experience
- Lead Design and delivery of scalable enterprise software in accordance with standard design principles and conventions
- Lead a portfolio of innovation projects, composed of near-in innovation priorities and disruptive innovation platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to manage the successful integration of innovations into new and existing business models, products, and services
- Develop and lead an effective, high-performance design and delivery team, retaining and attracting key talent to ensure continuous improvement in the design and delivery department
- Provide leadership to the bank’s design and delivery team to achieve high performance through coaching and mentoring of the direct reports
- Create and maintain an enabling work environment that encourages tech driven innovation and effective delivery of day-to-day operations within the department
- Developing policies and procedures that guide interactions with the design and delivery to ensure compliance with the regulations
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of trusted e-services for the Bank and ensure adherence to SLAs
- Represent Management at various business decision making Committees
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (Desirable)
- Software Development Security Professional Certifications (CSSLP/CEH/CHFI)
- RPA & Data Science Professional Certifications (CAP/ACDA)
- Project Management Professional Certifications (Prince2/PMP) (Optional but desirable)
Required Experience and Competences:
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a management role in a financial institution and in an IT related field, of which 2 years must have been at senior leadership level.
- Three (3) years’ experience leading large Enterprise System and/or Data Driven Robotic Process Automation projects and managing design, development, and delivery of software in a large financial institution or a reputable organization
