EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO VOLUNTEER ON THE BOARD OF A LOCAL NGO

Established about 28 years ago, TPO Uganda is a local Ugandan NGO operating in over 55 districts across the country. We target the most vulnerable communities with interventions covering child protection, gender-based violence, disaster risk reduction, food security, HIV/AIDS prevention, humanitarian service delivery and mental health and psychosocial support, amongst others.

The TPO Board of Directors comprises nine (9) members with multi-disciplinary and complimentary skills, and experience. Each of them are recruited on merit to serve voluntarily on an initial three-year term, renewable. Three (3) of these positions are due to fall vacant within the next six months.

This is to invite expressions of interest to fill the vacancies. Specifically, we are looking for two competent individuals with high level skills and experience (preferably not less than 10 years) in Finance, Audit and Risk Management. Qualified Accountants and members of ICPAU are encouraged to apply. In addition, we need a legal expert, preferably a practicing advocate with experience in working with or supporting NGOs.
