Job Title: Coxwain/Skipper
Salary scale: U8
Reports to: Assistant Marine Officer
Supervises: None
Duty Station: Head Quarters
Terms of Appointment: Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

Main purpose:
Loading equipment and supplies aboard vessel, preparing equipment. In addition assists the Marine Officer to steer the vessel during maneuvers, water sample collection and fishing expeditions.

Qualification and experience

1. Certificate in any relevant subject
2. Advanced firefighting, Personal safety and social responsibility (PSSR) , medical care, basic firefighting, proficiency in survival craft and rescue boat, ISPS – Ship security officer, Personal survival techniques.
3. Minimum of three (3) years working in marine environment
4. Valid license.
