Job Summary: The Manager Sourcing will be responsible for processes related to development and management of procurement standards, vendor evaluation & selection (from RFI to RFP). and contracts Management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transparently Select, Guide and direct suppliers and third parties in achieving Opco objectives
- Bring commodity-based procurement and sourcing expertise to commercial and Technical – provide input on scope of work, requirement specifications, demand management, cost, performance, market risk, market availability, quality and reliability of product/ service components required by both commercial and Technical.
- Construct, implement and fine-tune methods, processes and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet organizational goals
- Provide input into the forecasting, planning, development and review of the budget for the Technology or Commercial sourcing units
- Ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs relating to sourcing and requesting to order processes
- Manage process standardization and transformation initiatives
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for SLA non-compliance and take corrective action
- Identify potential sensitive issues and escalate it to the appropriate level
- Review and approve Purchasing Documents / Purchasing Agreements/ Purchasing Contracts/ Contract Terms and Deliverables
- Review and approve RFI/RFP/RFQ/Auction
- Review and approve Purchase Orders. Ensure customer satisfaction is at the highest level and as per service delivery measures
- Review and approve Category Needs and Spend Analysis / Category development and sourcing
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the MTN-Uganda Manager Sourcing job placement must hold a relevant Degree and Procurement or Supply Chain Professional Certification. (Being MCIPS is a requirement).
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
