About US:

Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an International NGO promoting community development through adult education on literacy, language, business and livelihood related trainings among refugees and host community member since 1997 in Uganda as an operational partner to UNHCR and OPM.

About WFP Project:

FRC in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP) is coordinating 12-month project to scale up Financial Literacy Training (FLT) in 11 refugee settlements: Adjumani, Impevi, Kiryandongo, Kyaka II, Kyangwali, Lobule, Nakivale, Oruchinga, Palorinya, Rhino Camp and Rwamwanja. The FLT training program aims to reach 141,010 refugee households receiving cash-based transfers (CBT) from WFP.

Job Summary:  The incumbent will drive project staff and goods to / from project areas, arrange and do basic maintenance of project vehicles, prepare requests and keep stock of spare parts and fuel, assist in purchases and project activities when needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate must hold an Ordinary level education and good understanding of English language.
• Course on mechanics and certificate in defensive driving are a plus.
• Valid driving licence with classes B and DL.
• At least three years of professional driving experience.
