Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The Data Assistant will assist the Prevention Officer in planning, tracking and monitoring the implementation of cluster activity work plans, document implemented activities and outputs using appropriate data tools, and ensure all required reports are submitted and reporting timelines observed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate data capture and timely preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Maintain AGYW dashboards and routinely share with PR, management, and staff to facilitate decision making.
- Maintain an up-to-date project database of all activities implemented and outputs.
- Ensure availability of updated data capture and reporting tools at the community for effective tracking of services provided to AGYW and other targeted populations.
- Support program teams to analyze and interpret data.
- Participate in development of weekly, monthly, quarterly work plans.
- Monitor and track implementation of project activities and support Prevention officer to develop catch up plans in case of unmet targets.
- Ensure quarterly monitoring and support supervision of project activities by the district officials are scheduled, conducted and quality assessment reports provided to SR.
- Support the Prevention Officer in implementation of project activities and tracking achievement of targets.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Baylor-Uganda Data Assistant job placement must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Statistics or Information Systems with training in Data Management or M&E and any other relevant qualification.
- At least two years of related work experience
- Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access)
- You must have at least a credit 6 in MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH at Ordinary Level (UCE).
